EonART is pleased to announce that Gordon C. Vadum, Q.C. has been appointed the conservator of EonART.
Mr. Vadum has collected, purchased and sold Japanese prints for the last 30 years.
Mr. Vadum besides his duties with EonART is a practicing Barrister & Solicitor in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1962, was appointed one of Her Majesty's Counsel in 1974 and is a distinguished member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
EonART and Gordon C. Vadum, Q.C. solemnly promise that they shall endeavor to give you quality prints at reasonable prices with the assurance that they stand behind every print purchased.
Exhibition and Sale of Original Japanese Woodblock prints by the great actor print artist Kunisada (Toyokuni III) from the series of half-figure kabuki actors with landscape backgrounds of the Tokaido stages which series is appropriately entitled: The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido - Tokaido gojusan-tsugi no ichi.

Hirosada
This offering is of Osaka Chuban-sized prints by Hirosada - Utagawa Hirsosada - who flourished from 1819 to 1865. He was a pupil of Utagawa Kunimasu. The offering is composed of 2 prints, 7 diptychs, 8 triptychs and 3 quadraptychs.
Mimasu Daigoro IV, Nakamuro Utaemon IV and Jitsukawa Ensaburo are some of the actors portrayed in various Kabuki plays. Most of these prints are with fine impression, color and states and resplendent in metallic pigments and embossing. All at affordable reserve prices.
Eishie
This further offering is 36 oban-sized prints by Hosada (Chobunsai) Eishi - 1756 to 1829 - The Thirty-six Immortal Woman Poets - Nishikizuri onna sanjurokkasen. Eishi was a student of Utamaro and flourished in his time.
On the right hand sheet of each oban print is a magnificent depiction of an immortal poet and on the right hand sheet is a poem written in 1797 by 36 girls ages six to 15 in competition. These prints are with fine impressions and colors and in very good to excellent condition. Again at affordable reserve prices.

This further offering is of miscellaneous prints including such artists as Toyokuni, Kuniyoshi, Kunisada, Shigemasa and others at affordable reserves.
